It’s when things get rough that true character is tested. Len’s ski accident in 2003 would be that test. After one of his best years as a pro, Len tore his ACL in BOTH knees in a skiing accident––a potential career-ending injury. But “perseverance” is Len’s M.O.. He worked his way back doing (6) hours of physical therapy a day. To his doctor’s astonishment, Len was back playing Honda Classic in only three months after the surgery. After struggling the last few years to find his game, today Len feels he is back to pre-accident form, ready to take on the best golfers in the world.

"Lend a hand... Make a difference" Len’s Friends. Established in 2000, Len’s Friends is about making a difference in the Jacksonville Community, the place Len calls home. To date, Len’s Friends has raised $400,000 for local charities like The First Tee of Jacksonville, American Red Cross, Otis Smith Foundation, and The Children’s Cancer fund. Len sums his charity work up best:
“Kristen and I are humbled by our many volunteers, sponsors and special event participants who have made the Len’s Friends Foundation a significant contributor to the Jacksonville community. Our ‘lend a hand…make a difference’ mantra is a simple and honest reflection of our personal goals. And we are making a difference”
